Whitecode are approved Low Carbon Energy Assessors (LCEA) and offer Simplified Building Energy Model (SBEM) calculations for all types of buildings. SBEM calculations provide an analysis of a building’s energy consumption, used in support of the National Calculation Methodology (NCM) and the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD). The SBEM calculations method is also used in determining CO2 emission rates for compliance with the new Part L2 of the Building Regulations (England and Wales).
Whitecode use Integrated Environmental Solutions Virtual Environment (IESVE) dynamic modelling software for this service.
Whitecode can provide initial specifications as a guidance as to what is required to gain compliance with the relevant regulations and legislations.
It is the developer’s responsibility to demonstrate that their building is built in accordance with a design that does not exceed a specific CO2 emission target once constructed.
