Overheating Reports

Overheating Reports

Overheating in this instance is a term used in relation to a building’s occupants becoming uncomfortable due to the internal environment.  Generally, this means that the internal temperatures are too high for occupants’ comfort.

IESVE dynamic modelling software is used to model the development in 3D allowing dynamic simulations to be carried out. This model takes into account a range of issues that could have an impact on the building’s thermal performance; including building fabric, orientation and external conditions.

It is important that overheating is considered at an early stage and Whitecode provide guidance at pre-planning stage to assist in the design of the façade.  This will help to alleviate any future issues the building may have with overheating.
